Yuen Biao acts as Ti Ming Chi, a runaway soldier.  Adam Cheng is Ting Yen, who became Ti's teacher after saving him.  Another pair of rival master and disciple are monks Hsiao (Damian Lau) and Yi Chen (Mang Hoi) respectively.  The evil Blood Monster is guarded by Long Brow (Sammo) but manages to poison  Hsiao,  Ting Yen brings Hsiao to the Ice Fortess to be cured by the Ice Countess (Brigitte).  Hsiao recovered but the Countess is exhausted.  Ting Yen and the Countess fell in love with each other.  Ting Yen then realises he is also poisoned by the Blood Monster.  The Countess tries her best to cure him but can't as she has already exhausted her strength.  The Countess hesitated to kill Ting but when she finally tries, it is too late as the blood monster has taken control over Ting Yen.  She tries to freeze the Ice Fortress and all within to imprison Ting Yen but unfortunately he escapes.  Meanwhile, Ti and Yi Chen plus Moon Lee (the remaining survivor from the Ice Fortess) must find the twin swords and defeat Ting Yen.  The 2 young men master the Twin Swords with the help of Li Yi Chi (Judy Ong) and Long Brows.  They finally confront Ting Yen.  Just when they are in a deadlock, the Countess manages to get out of the Ice Fortess and destroy Ting Yen.

The DVD contains a short film on Tsui Hark directing Brigitte Lin flying with wires.  It also list the filmography for the main stars.

Brigitte was nominated in the Best Actress category for the 3th HK Film Awards in 1983 for her role in Zu: Warriors from the Magic Mountain.
