This is definitely a propaganda film.  Brigitte and 3 other friends join the army.  The show starts with Brigitte and friends being inspired by smart-looking woman soldiers marching in a parade telecast over TV.    The girls play basketball, go home and tell their families they are joining the army.  Brigitte is a pampered but highly patriotic girl who gets into occasional trouble in the camp especially with her instructor acted by Tang Lan Hua.  You will see the girls march, board a freighter, admire fighter planes which demonstrate their explosive capability and even fire artillery.  They even learn first aid where a male nurse tries to pass a pickup message to Brigitte with "You got beautiful bones".   Brigitte even got into trouble for being AWOL as she wanted to attend a girlfriend's birthday party.  Almost left the army but realize her mistake and went back.  It ends with Brigitte leading a troop of woman soldiers on a parade.

As her makeup is minimal during the show, she looks incredibly young.  Instead of her usual fashionable clothes, she goes thru many changes of uniform. A cast of hundreds.  She must be incredibly fit for this show as she crawl with a rifle in a muddy field in the rain and did the obstacle course.  The basic message of the movie is that beautiful young girls join the army and they do have fun despite working hard.  So, join the army!
