A Dream Comeback - The Straits Times January 24, 2006

Hong Kong - Former film star Lin Ching-hsia says she may make a comeback for a chance to work with Chow Yun Fat again, reports Aplle Daily.

The two have not starred in the same movie since Dream Lovers in 1986.  When they met at at the premiere of Taiwanese director Ang Lee's Brokeback Mountain last Saturday, Chow was quoted as saying to Lin: "We haven't worked together for 20 years.  When will we work together again and make a movie?"

She replied: "Let's not wait.  Let's start shooting soon.  I can't wait another 20 years, because if I do, I won't get to be lead actress."

Lin, 51, retired from showbusiness after she married Esprit Holdings chairman Michael Ying in 1994.  They have two daughters.

The report said Chow, 50, then turned to Lee, who was present, and asked: "Director, when will you help Ching-hsia and me make the movie?"

To which Lee said: "I will, I will."

Hong Kong stars including Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Ti Lung and Daniel Wu showed up for the premiere, as well as a party celebrating Lee's wins for Best Director and Best Picture at the Golden Globe Awards last Monday.
Meanwhile, Brokeback Mountain continued to sweep up the awards season in Hollywood.
On Sunday, it was named Best Picture of the Year by the Producers Guild of America, reports Reuters
In 11 of the past 16 years, the winner has gone on to take the Best Picture Oscar.
