This show is the earliest collaboration by Brigitte Lin and Alan Tang. Brigitte is Li Ping who is a tomboy with 2 older brothers. One morning, the elder brother reads out from the newspaper that girls outnumber boys in the younger age groups of which Li Ping falls into. The mother looks at Li Ping and wants to marry her off before she becomes a statistic on the unmarried girls list. At the same time, Alan Tang acts as Yang I-Fan who is back from the USA after finishing his Masters at Nuclear Physics and he is a good friend of Li Ping's elder brother. The mother instructs the brother to mail to I-Fan, Li Ping's best photograph. I-Fan came back and Li Ping's mothet convinced I-Fan's mother that Li Ping is gentle and beautiful. Unfortunately, Li Ping came back dirty and scruffy from a mountain climbing trip with a big bird (could be an eagle). They started seeing each other to stop their mothers from nagging at them. Li Ping decided to find another girlfriend for I-Fan so that this matter be settled. She introduced her 2nd brother's girlfriend to I-Fan. They get along fine and Li Ping becomes jealous instead. Li Ping changes her mind about I-Fan after he hurt himself in a race to prove that he is tough to her friends. But now I-Fan is seeing the other girl. Will Li Ping get her man back? Will her brother break off his relationship with the girlfriend? Click for the conclusion.
This is a light-hearted romantic movie. Brigitte does a lot of activities in this show. She catches lizards, swims, mountain climbing, baseball, basketball, high jump, hurdles, running and arm wrestling. Definitely not melodramatic. Very good chemistry between Brigitte and Alan.
