Brigitte is Ivy who's roommate Joy committed suicide because of Louie (acted by Charlie Chin). Meanwhile, Ivy had an affair with Chiu Chung who happens to be Joy's brother and married. They separated after she found out that he is married. Apparently, insanity runs in the family. Chiu Chung returned to Hong Kong, had a quarrel with his wife and stabbed her. Chiu Chung then returned to Sans Francisco and stalked Brigitte at the hostel. Meanwhile, Louie starts dating Ivy. Chiu Chung becomes jealous and in a fit of jealously starts killing everyone he encounters in the hostel. Will Chiu Chung attempt to kill Ivy? Will Ivy die or not?
This movie is credited with changing Brigitte Lin's "good-girl" reel image as she killed a guy towards the end of the movie. Thanks to Akiko and Stanley for pointing this out.
