Charlie Chin is the son of the rich owner of a fashion house. His family are snobs who only approves of sophisticated ladies for their future daughter-in-law. Brigitte Lin is the innocent daughter of a farmer and her favourite hobby is growing flowers. They met and fell in love and married against his family's objections. He is a struggling writer who almost gave up hope on writing if not for Brigitte. When Charlie became successful, Brigitte develops an inferiority complex and tries to become a sophisticated lady which Charlie doesn't like at all. The couple quarreled.
