Chow Yun Fatt is a lover of Brigitte Lin from the Qin dynasty. They meet again 2000 years later and re-unite. Chow already has a lover who has been with him for 7 years. Chow's lover is reluctant to give him up. Chow believes in the Qin Dynasty dream because both he and Brigitte are born on the same day, same place plus share similar dreams. This movie is a pretentious cultural movie with soft porn whose love scenes pales in comparison to Bride With White Hair and with occasional scenes of Terracotta Soldiers to improve its respectability. Chow Yun Fatt's love scenes is more of a bear mauling its prey. I never thought that Qin dynasty hairstyles are ugly until this show. They should borrow the hairstylist from the HK or China TV stations. Now I know why Chow never acted in a period movie until many years later in Crouching Tigher Hidden Dragon in 2000.
