Different Love (1976)
aka A Different Kind of Love
Hanyu Pinyin : Bu Yi Yang De Ai; Literal : Not the Same Love

Lin Ching Hsia plays Sung Hsiao Yu, a clerk and Charlie Chin plays Wen Hsing Yu, a gardening specialist.  The general manager, Tsui Wen Lun is in love with Hsiao Yu and dislikes Wen Hsing Yu who is on good terms with Tsui Senior.  Hsiao Yu's father is a drunkard who wants to start his own business.  Hsing Yu wants to cross-fertilize flowering plants and produce a perfect flower.  Tsui Wen Lun and Tsui Senior disagree on what to do with the land as Tsui Wen Lun wants to build a mill and Tsui Senior wants a flower bed to produce exotic flowers for export.  Tsui Wen Lun dislikes Hsing Yu because he believes his father's decision (to grow flowers instead of building a mill) is influenced by Hsing Yu.  Tsui Wen Lun tries to court Hsiao Yu but she prefers Hsing Yu.  Tsui Wen Lun tries to get into Hsiao Yu's good books by lending her father two hundred thousand dollars to start a farm.  Hsiao Yu still prefers Hsing Yu and Tsui Wen Lun recalls back the loan.  It is now a difficult situation, so who will Hsiao Yu choose?  Click for the conclusion.

No melodrama.  Quite a pleasant show.  Although not too obvious, it was also another fashion show for Lin Ching Hsia with lots of scenes with flowers in the background.
