Charlie Chin is Cheng Chieh, an engineer obsessed with flying. Brigitte Lin is Liu Yen Mei, a rich girl who has to choose between Charlie and a rich man's son who stoops to manipulation to separate the 2 lovebirds. The fiancee deceived both Charlie and Brigitte about the loan to make the plane and Brigitte believed that Charlie is willing to give her up for the sake of the glider. A light-hearted film. There is 1 scene when Brigitte dresses in a Manchu-style dress in an attempt to avoid marrying the rich man's son. You don't have to reach for your Kleenex.
If you look at the last picture in this review, the arrow of the wind vane is pointing westwards. Whilst the obvious message is that love overcomes all obstacles, the hidden message is that we must look westward to improve ourselves and fulfill our dreams.
