The jealous husband who still loves Jia Yi (Lin Ching Hsia) calls for a meeting at the home with Charlie Chin. The husband is a chemist who creates a poison which he mixes in the brandy. He gives a glass of poisoned brandy to Lin Ching Hsia and Charlie Chin. Both the husband and Jia Yi were poisoned. Charlie wasn't poisoned as he was drinking brandy from an earlier bottle. Both Jia Yi and husband died.
