He is the scion of multi-million family business. She is an orphan who has to earn her keep and look after her mentally-retarded brother. Their romance faces objections from his family. Charlie misunderstood Brigitte's friendship with her neighbour. The brother accidently knocks Charlie on the head. Brigitte leaves and Charlie is heartbroken. Eventually love conquers all.
